Chidinma Ojwuku Pleads Not Guilty To Super TV CEO Michael Usifo’s Murder

Chidinma Ojukwu has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Super TV CEO, Michael Usifo Ataga.

Chidinma Ojukwu pleaded not guilty when she appeared in the High Court today in Lagos. She and another suspect, Adebayo Quadri, are charged with eight counts of murder, stealing, and other offenses.

Adebayo Quadri pleaded guilty and Chidinma Ojwuku’s sister, Chioma Egbuchu, who was also arraigned in the case, pleaded guilty to receiving Michael Usifo Ataga’s iPhone.

The two defendants are now charged with eight counts, including murder, conspiracy, forgery, stabbing, and stealing.The two defendants have made bank statements and the Lagos state government will be in charge of their charges.

The Director of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Olayinka Adeyemi, told the high court that the defendants conspired among themselves and murdered Michael Usifo Ataga on the 15th of July, 2021.

The director added that the two defendants allegedly killed Michael Usifo Ataga by stabbing him many times with a knife in his neck and chest.

She stated that they also allegedly conspired to commit forgery of bank statements of Michael Usifo Ataga in two banks and allegedly forged international passport and driver’s license.

In the high court, Chidimma was also accused by the DPP of stealing a Macbook, two iPhones and ATM cards of the deceased, withdrawing three hundred and eighty thousand naira from the bank account.
