Babatunde Omidina, who is popularly known as’ Baba Suwe ‘, is dead.
His son, Sola Omidina, was the one who confirmed his father’s death.
Baba Suwe’s son, Sola Omidina, wrote on his instagram page saying,
“This is to announce the sudden death of my father, Mr. Babatunde Omidina. The legend and rare gem “Babasuwe” (11/22/21)”
Baba Suwe’s son revealed that the popular Nigerian comedian died this afternoon:
“They reached out to me immediately after it happened, but he was getting sick gradually.” He said
Babatunde Omidina, also known as Baba Suwe, was 63 years old before he died. His son said he was in the United States when he heard the news of his father’s death in Nigeria.
Sola Omidina added that his close relatives were the ones with him in his last moments and described his father as a very wonderful man and a good father.
“He was a good father as he entertained the world. He entertained me as a son as well, because when I was watching him on screen, I did not see him as my father, I saw him as a comedian” His son said,
“He was funny on screen and funny off screen.” He is the best thing that has happened to me. ”
Sola announced that Baba Suwe’s burial arrangements would be announced later on.
