Court Remands Young Boys Who Beheaded One Of Their Girlfriends For Money Ritual
Today, a Magistrates’ Court ordered that they should remand four young boys in prison after they killed one of their girlfriends.
On the 29th of January 2022, the four suspects, 20-year old Balogun Mustakeem, 18-year old Majekodunmi Soliudeen, 19-year old Abdulgafa Lukman, and 18-year old Waris Oladeinde, burnt the head of the girl after they killed her in an uncompleted building in the Kugba area, Abeokuta.
The suspects were charged with two-count charges of conspiracy and murder.
The Magistrate who did not take the suspects’ plea, ordered that they should be remanded in Oba correctional service while the court waited for legal advice from the Ogun State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The magistrate adjourned the case till March 14th, 2021.
The prosecutor told the court that the suspects committed the offence on the 28th of January 2022 at about 11:00pm in the Kugba area of Abeokuta.

Inspector Lawrence Balogun said the defendants planned among themselves and murdered Sofiat Okeowo, who is Majekodunmi Soliudeen’s gf.
He said the suspects killed her by cutting her head with a cutlass.
The prosecutor claimed that the suspects killed the girl because they wanted to use her for a ritual.
He added that their crime goes against section 324 of the Criminal Code of Ogun, 2006.
