ASUU May Suspend Warning Strike After Fresh Talks With Government

The Academic Workers’ Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its three-week strike period following a contemporary agreement with the central.

She also discussed the role of technology in enhancing power in administration by reiterating the university administration’s use of various social media in interacting with students.

She added: “On another level, we must always endeavour to boost our relationship with stakeholders within the system, as well as the scholars without whom there’ll be no university. We tend to run away from the very fact that while not students, we are going to be redundant. Let’s treat them as our customers and partners. The duty isn’t only for the vice-chancellors and teachers alone; we tend to be all stakeholders. We tend to all work together to realize the institutional strategic goals and objectives so our graduates are equipped with the required skills and competencies to create a distinction in the twenty-first century. We must, therefore, volitionally key into the move to more incorporate computing into the administration of our universities.”
