All You Need To Know About President Buhari’s Visit To New York
The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, arrived in New York, United States Of America. Yesterday, the 19th of September, 2021 ahead of the 76th UN General Assembly.
The president will address the assembly during the general debates on Friday, September 24th, 2021.
He went to New York with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, and Minister of State for Environment, Sharon Ikeazor.
Other Nigerian leaders came to New York to attend the 76th UN General Assembly and will participate in meetings such as the Food Systems Summit, the High Level Dialogue on Energy, the High Level Plenary Meeting (to promote the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons), and the High Level Meeting (to remember the 20th anniversary of the Durban Declaration on Racial Justice).
The presidential office released a statement saying the president will come back to Nigeria on the 26th of September, 2021.
The 76th UN General Assembly (UNGA) will take place in New York, United States of America; it will officially open on Tuesday, September 21st, 2021, with the General Debate.
