Afe Babalola University Tops Nigerian Schools In World University Ranking 2022
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari congratulates the Founder, Chancellor, Management, and Staff of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria, on their performance in the most recent world university ranking report
They are ranked 400th in the World University Rankings and are the best in Nigeria.
No African country is in the top 100 universities in the world, but according to the full ranking at the University of Cape Town, South Africa’s best African university is number 183 and first on the continent.
Kwa-Zulu Natal University in South Africa follows with number 351, while Afe Babalola University is on the 400th position.
The 401st position is shared by the University of Ibadan and Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia.

Popular Nigerian University, University of Lagos is in the 501 to 600 group with the likes of University of Nairobi, Kenya, North West University, South Africa and Suez Canal University, Egypt.
Covenant University is in the 601 group.
University of Ilorin is in the 1201 group,
Ghanaian Kwame Nkurumah University of Science and Technology is in the 1001-1200 group
