Chiwetalu Agu has finally been released from the Department of State Services (DSS) custody.
This good news was confirmed by the Actors Guild of Nigeria as they released a statement last night, the 13th of October, 2021.
Ir was revealed that The Department of State Security, The DSS, transfered the popular Nollywood actor to the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja.
As we recall, Popular Nigerian actor, Chiwetalu Agu, was arrested as he was suspected to have been supporting IPOB. Nigerian soldiers arrested him because he wore an outfit which resembled the IPOB’s flag, thinking that he was supporting the Indigenous People Of Biafra (Biafra), but the actor denied the accusations, saying that he only wore an outfit with a rising sun design.
Days later, the Actors Guild of Nigeria revealed they had secured his release, but the Nollywood actor was later transferred to the custody of the DSS for further investigation.
