Two okada riders were arrested for luring a nursing mother to a hotel, killing her and selling her baby for 150 thousand naira.
Two suspects in the heinous murder of a nursing mother are being held by police in Abia State.
According to reports, the victim, Chihurumnaya Udeh, had her life cut short by two young boys who lured her to a hotel in Abia State’s Ogbor Hill area.
According to Abia Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede, the incident occurred on April 15, 2022, at Merry Home Hotels in Aba.
She claimed that on that fateful day, the suspects, Chimaobi Anyim Kalu, 25, and David Ogwo Orji, 21, conspired and kidnapped the woman’s 11-month-old child.
She stated that after discovering the problem, the hotel’s proprietor reported to the police that the corpse of an unidentified female with a sharp cut on her neck was discovered in one of the hotel rooms.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that the suspects had fled.

The suspects were apprehended between May 15th and May 16th, 2022, according to the CP.
She revealed that in their confessional statements, the suspects admitted to administering drug, a yoghurt mixture spiked with 8 piriton tablets, to their victim.
She became dizzy, unconscious, and slept off after drinking the yoghurt, before they stabbed her on the neck with a broken glass cup, resulting to her death.
They both admitted to selling the baby for 150,000 naira, which was split equally between the two suspects.
The CP stated that plans are being made to apprehend two other fleeing suspects, a man and a woman, which could lead to the recovery of the 11-month-old child.
