Ganduje Backed APC Exco Plans Appeal Against Sacking
Following a court order to remove the party’s leadership in Kano State, which is loyal to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, the All Progressives Congress National Reconciliation Committee’s efforts to end the festering crises in thirteen states have hit a brick block.
The Ganduje-backed group, on the other side, has stated that it intends to appeal the verdict.
On Monday, Senator Abdullahi Adamu’s nine-member peace committee began a tour of the troublesome states, with Kano as the first stop.
A Federal Capital Territory court in Maitama ruled that the Ganduje faction was not authentic, effectively handing over the APC’s party structure to the faction led by former Governor patriarch Shekarau and federal lawgiver Sha’aban Sharadaas just hours after Adamu met with involved stakeholders in Kano.
In Kano, parallel congresses were held, with Abdullahi Abbas emerging as the National Assembly Chairman.
