Pastor Taiwo Odukoya Loses Wife Again
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya of The Fountain of Life Church has lost his wife, Pastor Rosemary Simangele Nomthi Odukoya.
According to a brief publication on the church’s Instagram handle, the deceased struggled with cancer for two years before she passed on.
Pastor Taiwo on his Instagram handle also confirmed that his wife died of cancer after two years of battling with the disease. According to him, Pastor Nomthi stood on the Word of God, and she fought.
She was married to Pastor Taiwo four years after his first wife, late Pastor Bimbo Rosemary Odukoya (née Williams) died in the 2005 Sosoliso air crash.
Their marriage clocked 11 this year and the couple celebrated their 11th anniversary on January 5 at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos.
The 11-year-old marriage produced two wonderful boys who according to Pastor Taiwo will be very significant in life.
He said he loved her with all his heart, but could not fight the will of God.
Nomthi, as she was fondly called is a South African, who was living in London, where she worked as a music director where Odukoya found her when he visited London for a speaking engagement.
Before she transitioned to glory, Nomthi was an associate senior pastor at Fountain of Life Church. She was also the chairperson and the founder of Fountain Initiative for Social Development.
Until her death, she was the chairman of Funda Wazi Foundation, an NGO established to provide child-friendly resources and training to equip both children and adults to ensure children’s safety and well-being.
She wrote several children including, “No! Don’t Touch Me There”, “A Bully Is Not A Hero”, “Help They Are Fighting Again”, “Boys and Girls Are Different But Equal”.
