Lagos State Government Orders For An Investigation On the 21 Storey Building Collapse
The Lagos state government has ordered an investigation into the 21-building which collapsed in Ikoyi on Monday, November 1st, 2021.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, released a statement saying the Lagos state government ordered the sealing of the area where the incident happened.
“A report of the investigations will be open for members of the public in due course,” Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said.
The building which collapsed was under construction on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, a city which is one of the most expensive areas in Lagos State.
According to reports, it was “4 Score Homes” that was handling the construction of the building project.
The client of the project was said to be Fourscore Heights Limited.
The structural engineers in charge of the project were Beyond Designs. The project architects were Voltron Design Studio. While M & E were the consultants in charge of the construction.
