Ohanaeze Ndigbo Begs IPOB To Reconsider The Sit-At-Home Order

Ohanaeze Ndigbo requests that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) reconsider the seven-day sit-at-home order issued to Nigerians living in South East Nigeria.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) revealed that the sit-at-home order will start from November 5th to November 11th, 2021.

The separatist group released a statement saying that the seven-day sit-at-home order is to make sure that the governorship election in Anambra State is successfully held on November 6th, 2021.

Not too long ago, the IPOB, which was proscribed by the Nigerian federal government, declared a week-long sit-at-home protest which will start from November 5th to November 10th to persuade the Nigerian Federal government to release their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently in their custody.

IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is currently facing accusations of terrorism and other charges against him by the Nigerian Federal government.

The South East Nigerian police had also accused the IPOB of being responsible for some of the attacks on the recent killings and police formations in Anambra state, and in reply, the IPOB denied the accusation.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo has said that the seven-day sit at home is not a good decision because Anambra State is the economic live wire of south-east Nigeria with a history of steady growth.
