24-Year-Old Online Seller Dies While Making Delivery
On Wednesday, October 20th, 2021, Benue State found a 24-year old online seller, identified as Joy Onoh, on the ground around Federal Housing in the North Bank area of Makurdi, the capital of Benue State.
She was found dead after she left her home to deliver six turtleneck shirts to a customer who lives around Federal Housing in the North Bank area of Makurdi.
Joy Onoh began her online business two months ago and the business was named Sparklight Collectibles. Joy Onoh created the online business to raise money to pay her unsettled school fees at Benue State University.
Joy Onoh’s mother, Grace Onoh, who has been a widow for 12 years, spoke to the media about her daughter’s death.
“After I drank Garry to train Joy in the University, now that she has finished helping me, they killed her” Her mother, Grace Onoh, said.
“All our hope had been on her, but as it is now, I do not know where to start from in this life again,” she added.
49-year-old Grace Onoh said that after her daughter was murdered, all her hope had been destroyed and her world had shattered into pieces.
The death of the 24-year old online seller brought shock to Nigerians nationwide and abroad, as they found it strange that the seller was killed when she went to deliver to a customer.
They suspect that the customer would have killed her.
