“The Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack Is Not An Act Of Vandalism” – NRC Managing Director Reveals
The Managing Director of Nigeria Railways Corporation, Fidet Okhiria, said the attack on the Kaduna-Abuja train was not an act of vandalism.
Fidet Okhiria is hoping that train services across the country will resume. Today, 2 days after he announced the suspension of train services due to security concerns.
The Managing Director of Nigeria Railways Corporation’s question was why local reports saw the incident as “vandalism”, as he said the NRC press release did not mention anything like that.
“So we are working very hard, and hopefully by today or tomorrow we can resume train services.” The Managing Director stated
“And questions about whether the train, as you see it in our press release, There’s nothing like that. A situation like this has to be managed well.” Fidet Okhiria added.
Two days ago, the Nigeria Railways Corporation made an announcement regarding the suspension of train services on their website, adding that train services will be suspended till further notice.
The announcement happened after unknown bandits attacked a train which was travelling from Kaduna to Abuja on Wednesday, the 20th of October, 2021.
