Study In Switzerland: Backpack Excellence Scholarship for Women 2024 (Fully Funded)

The IMD Backpack Excellence Scholarship Award invites applications from women worldwide. This scholarship aims to equip women with the leadership skills necessary for success in business and public life, enabling them to fulfill their leadership ambitions.

The scholarship provides a transformative experience for talented and driven women who lack the financial means to pursue a master’s program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the IMD Backpack Scholarship 2024, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Academic and Professional Excellence: Demonstrate excellence in previous academic and/or professional endeavors, including GPA (or equivalent) and GMAT/GRE scores.

2. Ambition and Leadership Potential: Convince IMD of your ambition and ability to use your education to pursue a leadership role.

3. Career Progression and International Exposure: Show evidence of career progression and international exposure.

4. Classroom Contribution: Ability to contribute to the overall learning experience of the class.

5. Assessment Day Performance: Perform well during the Assessment Day.

6. Essay Requirement: Submit an essay titled “Tell us how, as a displaced woman, an MBA at IMD will be transformative for you and indirectly for other women in your community, and what are your main learning objectives.” (500 words)

Priority will be given to talented and driven women who may have believed that an MBA program was out of reach due to limitations and disruptions in their professional paths, including family obligations, forced migration, and financial constraints.

Application Procedures

Interested applicants must complete the Scholarships and Bursaries form found under the Financial Planning section of their MBA application form. Note that you may apply for multiple scholarships, but scholarships are non-cumulative, meaning you will not be selected for more than one.
