FG Declares October 19 As Public Holiday
The Nigerian Federal Government declares Tuesday, the 19th of October, 2021, as a public holiday to mark Eid-ul-Mawlid 2021 celebration.
For those who have no idea what Eid-ul-Mawlid means, Eid-ul-Mawlid is a muslim celebration which happen Every year to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of Interior, was the one who made the announcement of the public holiday on behalf of the Nigerian Federal Government.
He announced the news on his official Facebook page and congratulated Muslims who will be witness the Celebration this year.
He urged Nigerians accross to indulge the spirit of love, perseverance and patience, which are the virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, stating that mimicking the virtues of the holy prophet Muhammad will bring peace in Nigeria that doing so would guarantee peace and security in the country.
