Applications are currently open for the 2024/2025 EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships in Switzerland. These fellowships are offered by the Ecole Polytechnique federale de Lausanne (EPFL) to reward exceptional students commencing their Master’s studies.

The EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships provide financial support of CHF 10,000 per semester, along with guaranteed housing, to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and have excelled in extracurricular activities, whether in sports, arts, civic engagement, or entrepreneurship.

Details of EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships 2024

These fellowships are designed to support students who have either completed their Bachelor’s degree at EPFL or started their university studies at another institution. The main goal is to enable students to focus on their Master’s studies while also engaging in activities that enhance their professional development and cross-disciplinary skills.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Applicants must be international students.
2. Applicants should have completed at least their second year of undergraduate studies when they begin the internship.
3. They must remain enrolled as regular students at their home university throughout the entire internship.
4. Applicants should come from one of the program’s partner universities.
5. Nomination by the international exchange office at their home institution is required.
6. The internship should be part of their academic curriculum.

Application Procedures

To apply for the EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships, candidates should use the same online application form as their master’s program application. There’s an option to indicate that the applicant’s profile should also be considered for an excellence fellowship. No additional documents are needed beyond those required for admission.

The application deadline for these fellowships is December 15th (for the Fall semester) and April 15th (for the Spring semester) annually.
