Kaduna State Plan To Shut Down Telecommunication Service In Some LGAs
The Kaduna state government is planning to shut down telecommunication service in the state as the state’s governor, Nasiru el-Rufai, has been advised by military and security forces to shut down telecommunication services in selected local government areas.
The state government is not sure which local government areas will be selected, so they are waiting for the security forces to reveal which local government areas will be selected and when their telecommunication service will be shut down.
The telecommunication service shut down will not affect the whole state, but it will affect border areas between Zamfara state, Kaduna state, and Katsina state.
Kaduna state’s governor, Nasiru el-Rufai, revealed that the shut down will affect the border areas between the three states because the state is connected to the local government areas in Kaduna in making calls and asking for ransom (related to the kidnappings happening in the state).
Governor el-Rufai revealed that the government does not know when the shut down will begin or which local government areas it will affect, but he knows the local government which will be affected and will not reveal them.
