
17 individuals, mostly men, were caught and charged for the illegal internet frauds they allegedly committed on the 11 of November, 2021.
They were caught by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as the EFCC secured the conviction of the 17 internet fraudsters. The agency charged them immediately before Justice I. M. Buba of the Federal High Court in Enugu state.

Below are the names of the defendants; Augustine Dimgba Ikeoha, Orji Patrick Onyebuchi, Egwu Collins Somto, Echezona Emmanuel, Nwoye, Ohazuruike Christian, Emeli Ikenna, Echebiri Ifeanyichukwu Victor, Echefulam Uche, Ameh David Owenchochi, Tasie Henry Nzube, Ene Ndukaku Chinwendu, Innocent Chukwuemeka, Onyebuchi Victor Okwaodu, Ikeja Eyerinbi, Chukwu Miracle, Emmanuel Murewa and Ejike Prince.

Each of the aforementioned people were given separate charges mainly on criminal impersonation and for false pretense ways of obtaining money.
Therefore, there conviction was announced by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren in a statement on Monday.
